Parish Councils

St. John the Apostle has both a Parish Pastoral Council and a Finance Council

There are two parts to the Parish Pastoral Council,  the Operations Group and the Administrative Group. 

Operations Group leaders have as their primary ministry the oversight and leadership of each these ministry areas:
- Outreach and Missions
- Faith Formation, Sacramental Preparation, and Youth
- Prayer, Worship, and Liturgy
- Administration, Building and Grounds
- Ministry Discernment
- Parish School
- Parish Community Life

The primary function of the Administrative Group council members is to advise and consult with the pastor on parish plans and strategies, to handle specific challenges as they arise, to be a visionary presence in the parish, and to focus on the experience of the Lord’s Day, the Sunday experience which all our parishioners share. Secondarily, each Administrative group member assists an Operations leader in one area of ministry. 

Parish Finance Council

The function of the Parish Finance Council is to see that proper financial records are maintained for all parish assets and liabilities, revenues and expenses, in accord with the Chart of Accounts approved by the Diocesan Finance Office.
